Is there published someplace a list of all system variables that are availlable?  In particular I need the UserID.  Thanks,

Casey

You can find a published list of all the server variables here

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/server/iis/default.asp?url=/windows2000/en/server/iis/htm/asp/vbob5vsj.htm

I think the one you are looking for is Request.ServerVariables("Logon_User")

This module has most of them.  You can select what you want displayed in settings.  Logon_User only has a value if you are using Windows Authentication.

I think, he is asking for DNN environment poperties, that can be used in message texts as variables, such as portal:portalName, but there is no list available AFAIK.

Yes leupold, that is exactly what I need - standard .NET system variables will do me no good. What I need precisely is the UserID of a logged in user.  There must be some way to figure this out.

Thanks!

these variables can only be used inside of system messages - where do you need them?
