Hi,

 

Hi,

During a mistake I had to re-install DNN 4.3.6. and restore the database.
The old host-username and host-pasword does not work.
restore of the old web config file did not work.
- What are de default userid and password when you startup DNN for the first time ?
- Is there a way to reset the userid and password?.

Default users on install:

User: host

Pwd: dnnhost (since DNN 3.3.0/4.3.0, previously "host")

User: admin

Pwd: dnnadmin (since DNN 3.3.0/4.3.0, previously "admin")

Please note, that acconts are stored in database and don't get reset on re-installation of files.

Passwords are stored encrypted, using the encryption key stored in web.config. If you lost web.config, have a look at these instructions.

Thanks for the advice and answer,
I did the installation of 4.3.7. again.
'Now it works fine.

The upgrade from 3.1.1. to 4.3.7 is great.
Lots of new features and so far stable like a rock.
