I still can't get this module to download docs correctly to FireFox.  I can not ignore 33% of the browsers out there (and I don't think that what is soon to be a major module in DNN should either). I have to test my web sites with all the modern browsers (some clients still insist on testing with Netscape 3.1).

I finally had to abandon the repository and redevelop the functionality using XMOD.  I was able to get it all going in less than 30 minutes so that was a big win for me and my customer.  I'm still grumpy that I had to waste so much time on the repository module in an effort to get it to work.

I hope this ignorance of the world outside of IE/Microsoft is not growing within the DNN core community.   DNN is very cool because it frees developers from caring about the corporate wars over the internet and just allows them to create cool websites.

Still keep up the good work, DNN is a great of example of open source/community driven software.

Greg

I uploaded a PDF to gooddogs.com, opened the site in the latest build of FireFox, clicked on the download link and it worked perfectly, I got a dialog box asking if I wanted to open the PDF or Save it to disk. When I selected open, it opened and the PDF was fine. When I elected to save it to disk, it did, and I later opened it with Adobe reader and it was fine.

So, I'm not sure where you can say I am 'ignoring' 33% of the browsers in the world ( which is not a correct statistic, but that's not the point )

The Repository module works just fine with FireFox and PDF files, there is no ignorance involved here.

I'm glad you were able to find a solution to your problem.
