I want to customize the signin.ascx control to show a list of companies after login.  I also want to place the new control on a new page with a specific layout.  These are the steps I followed :

1) I created an new DNN module with a copy of the standard signin.ascx control and named it CompanySignin.ascx

2) In this control I added a new panel with a DropDownList and a Button.

3) When the cmdLogin event has been raised and after succesfully being logged in I changed the code so instead of redirecting to the redirecteurl I call my own CompanyLogin method.  In this method the dropdown is bound to a list of companies and the panel becomes visible.

4)  The user only sees the loginpage and has to select a company.  After pressing the OK button the selected company will be saved in the session and we are redirected to our own home page.

The problem know is that when I log in with Host/Admin the dropdown has no SelectedValue.  Also all the items I've bound are gone.  When I log in with a user who's not in the Administrators role my code works fine.  When I do all the modifications in the standard signin.ascx the code also works fine for Host/Admin.  But when a reference this new control on my own page I got the same problem for Host/Admin.

Is DNN doing something different in the background for Administrator users?
