Currently designing a new version of the live chat module "SigmaLive" for DotNetNuke.  In the last release, there were changes made to provide more integration with DNN and the Project/Support module SigmaPro.  What additional changes could you benefit from?

If you are currently using a live chat system on your web site, such as LivePerson, why have you not moved to a DNN based system? SigmaLive is 100% hosted on your site, no monthly charges and provides direct integration into DNN (such as the ability to view user profile information including assigned roles).

Two new design paths are being worked on now.  Integration into your companies network for use by your Help Desk to speed and automate common tasks.  The other, sales management for eCommerce sites.

Another path being considered is for the DNN Skin and Module developers.

A few companies have implemented SigmaLive into their IT Help Desk.  For those who have done this, what new functions would help speed support even faster. Or have all your requirements met with the current release?

One of the new features in the new release is to integrate the OnyakTech Snow module into SigmaLive.  For those of you selling your modules on SnowCovered and using the Snow module by OnyakTech to handle sales postings from SnowCovered, a new function is being added to SigmaLive to pull up your SnowCovered sales for the current customer you are in chat with.  What additional functions related to this would you like to see?

Hi Chris,

I'm looking for something that is cosmetically integrated with the DNN site - ie: the Visitors page is skinable.

Ideally it is skinnable in the same way that the DNN skinning engine works, or alternatively, with html templates like the repository module and Ventrian Systems' modules employ.  (I'm getting tired of editing module's ascx files!)  The screenshots on your site of the "Visitors" window, look like a default windows theme.  Are you able to provide this kind of graphic customization?

Do you support localization?  If I have clients in Germany - and support agents in Germany, it would be useful to have localiation and a way for a visitor to select a German support representative instead of an English one...

Cheers!

Hi Chris,

I used it for a while on one of my sites but noticed that I was missing some incoming requests because I needed to monitor for incoming calls (that I forgot to do on a regular basis) and I wasn't alerted automatically when somebody tried to contact me. Apart from that it was great.

Cheers

Leif

Leif,

That is an item to be addressed in this next release.  Shane from CallCenters 24/7 mentioned this also.  To solve this, if you or one of the active agents has not accepted the call, the client will continue to alert you through sound and a visual pop-up.

In regards to skinning, the module that displays the agent online status is just an image and it can be any image size/grade you want it to be.  There will be more image sets available for use for Online, Offline and Back In Five minute status indicators.  The only other interface is the chat window the visitor/customer uses.  There are plans to improve this interface, but I'll go farther and allow you to skin it.  This wasn't in the first release due to the fact that it's not a module and has limited access to the framework.

There will also be additional agent features added.  Such as the ability to store links in a list to be used by the agent when they need to send customers to sites on the web quickly by simply selecting the link from the list they created.  The link will appear in the customers chat window and you'll have the option of automatically opening the site for them.   Related to this, are there any additional agent functions you would like to have to make it easier for you and your customers?

Chris

Hello,

Will it be available for sale through DnnHelp.com?
So far I had a terrible experience with snowcovered. They overcharged my credit card
and it took me three months to resolve it!

Thanks
