Once again I have screwed my site up! I seem to be doing alot of this lately!

After spending HOURS getting everthing setup and content added to my site, forums setup and config'd I started playing around with admin settings... now let me start off by saying I am not a blundering idiot - I am just one of those people who learn the hard way by changing settings to see what happens...

Problem - I cannot login.

Reason - I set the login page under admin/site settings to use the home page.

*#($*@()$()@*#)$(%&*#(@!_)@!+$(#$!!!!!!! I am so friggin pissed! I have some time into this site and don't want to redo it!

Is there any kind of back door or ANYTHING I can do to get into the admin area on my site?

Thanks to all!

Sean

Don't feel like you are the only one that this has ever happened to, this may help:

Can't Login to your DotNetNuke Portal?

Excellent reply and thank you for the quick response...

The major issue is, and I should have stated this, that with the hosting I have I am not able to see the portals physical location so I cannot upload anything to the root of the site or anywhere on the site.

Sux to be me right now!

Thx!

I tried the link Can't Login to your DotNetNuke Portal? but it did not work for me because my hosting does not allow me to see the root of the DNN site.

Am I screwed and should I spend my weekend rebuilding my site?

Thx!

This has been such a common problem that I worked up a new work-around since my old one stopped working in the latest versions of DNN:

DotNetNuke Login is not working!! How are you going to get back in?
