I'm having trouble installing ddn on win2k server.  I will list the steps I took.

1) Unzipped install.zip file into wwwroot, and gave ASPNET r,w,x permission, as well IWAM, IUSR r,w permission.  All acls were propogated down the dir tree of ddn dir

2) Create database (mssql 2000) DotNetNuke.  Create user added user as db_owner to the db DotNetNuke.

3) Configured web.config file.  set pass size to 4, set db con string to my servers.

4) Ran default.aspx, however here is the mystery, i get error: dbo.GetPortalVersionByPortalID error, however when i view the DB it has create 3 stored procs, and the table Version.

any insight would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

Ok so it finally worked.  Followed the same instructions above however instead of unzipping to the inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke folder i unzipped to c:\dotnetnuke and created a virtual directory in IIS pointing to it.  However this is not the problem, I also checked off run ISAPI CGI scripts checkbox, which I assume what was causing my prob.
