I've been using DNN for almost 2 years and I've found a general trend: The more you upgrade DNN, the more likely your portal will become more and more corrupt where your only option is to start over fresh with the latest version. Has anyone else had this experience?

For example, I have two completely different portal installs that when a new user registers, the email comes in corrupted. Like the first name will come in, but the rest of the fields are all last name. I get on here and post about these problems and no one replies.

Another problem is on one portal the file synch does not ever run -- it times out. So, whenever a module requires it, we're out of luck.

Another problem on one portal is the default skin/container defined at the portal level does not take. It uses some previous container I used, so I must define this at the page level every time.

Like I said, no one replies when I post about these problems. So, I'm afraid to keep upgrading my portals now... ya I make a back-up, but the time I find out about these little problems, I've already added months of content.
