This really has very little to do with DNN except I'm using DNN as my company portal.  :) 

I have DNN installed on a web server that's inside of my company firewall and installed on a web farm outside the firewall, configured for web farm support.  When I access www.mycompany.com from a 3rd party internet connection I get a DNN page that has the account login module.  So far so good.

Here's my problem.  I get a challenge screen (see example below) when I use www.mycompany.com/admin/security/windowssigin.aspx inside of my firewall.  If I use http://mynetbiosname/admin/security/windowssignin.aspx it logs me in automatically.  My domain is xx.mycompany.corp.  I added www.mycompany.com to our internal DNS server and pointed it to the internal web server IP address.  Currently I have a special default page that redirect users to the NetBIOS address on the internal website only.
