What I want to do is: Have a series of links on the Master site which are syndicated. On the children sites I want to subscribe to the Master RSS. You should be able to click the link on a Subscriber site and be taken to that link - not the master site

Ok I have a portal setup as my master - on the master I have a links module. In the module syndicate I checked on allow syndicate.

Now I have a bunch of other portals on the same install let just call then 'subscriber portals' - I setup an news module to read from the 'Master site' Unfortunately I have the following problems

- The links on the subscriber site fail to update when I update the master

- the links on the subscriber site take me to the master - not the final destination where the link points to on the master

Any input is greatly appreciated

Maybe some examples will help... please see comments/ideas in yellow highlight

e.g. 1

Create a 'Master' Portal with a links module - containing 0 to many links - which are syndicated via XML or some other method

On the same DNN install have multiple portals which will subscribe (read and display) the links  from the 'Master' portal. When you click the link on the subscriber portal you will be taken to that link - not the master portal

I currently setup this way but the XML syndication of the links module does not contain the link - instead it contains a link back to the master site

e.g. 2

Imagine similar as above but with pages managed at the master site level which are in turn accessable/displayed on subscriber portals.

The Gist of it is to feed generic content to subscriber portals - the subscriber portal admin/webmaster can choose hide (or not) this but cannot edit this content. Imagine the master portal content that child sites subscribe to would be stored in a direcotry READABLE by all subscribers but editable only from the master portal
