I don't like developing the module inside the Dotnetnuke project. There's such a delay when building, that it makes it extremely slow. I prefer using the Compiled module that comes with the starter kit. In that way you only have your module project and you can modify the project's properties as you wish, on top of being really fast.

If you have it inside the Dotnetnuke solution but as a separated project like the providers, etc... Rright-click the project and select properties, then set the assembly name in the form of YourCompanyName.ModuleName and for the SQL data provider project as YourCompanyName.ModuleName.SQLDataProvider. Compile to bin\

When I try to create that project it gives the following error:

The project type is not supported by this installation.

What do I need to fix.

Install the WAP plug in from Microsoft. Available at www.ASP.NET
