Hi,

I have a user who is getting corrupt zip files after downloading them and trying to unzip them. He has tryed to download with IE6 and FF. He doesnt get any javascript errors and the file is being renamed properly when the save as box pops up.

Any ideas on what is causing this and what i can try to resolve this?

Thanks,

Gary

Not sure, as I have not seen this problem.

Just guessing, but since it happens in both IE and FireFox for this user it MAY be his verison of WinZip, or whatever unzip file he's using.

If a .zip file is zipped up with, say version 10, and someone tries to unzip it with version 3 ... it may be reported as a corrupt zip file.

Like I said, just guessing.

I am having the problem, if I add a file to the resources mod (2.2m) the user is only getting about 500 to 600kb of the file and it is currupt. I also tried the file in the documents mod and get the same thing. When I added the file as a direct link the file came down fine.

This sounds more like a DNN configuration problem but let's see if we can't figure this one out. Is the complete file getting uploaded without any errors? Is it all users who download the file or only one?

I have tried it with smaller files 200kb and it works. With the large file the complete file gets uploaded completly and from a local connection I can download the complete file. I have added a direct link to a news item (Article) to the file on the server and this downloads correctly. Could it have to do with the file size?
