I am developing an extranet site and I have added the login control tothe front page for the users to login. The problem I am having is that the Login control is visible on the skin and I need to hide it until the user has logged in. Once they login, the controlshould appear with the logout option like normal.

Is there are property I can use like IsEditable? something like IsViewable? I have searched allover and I cant find anything like this.

Thanks,

Jerel

It's a bit of a hack, but you could create a very simple module that just has the user skin control in it.  You could wrap that with a panel and set visibility in code.  One question, though.  You say it should not be visible until the user has logged in.  If you take away the link to login, how are people supposed to login at all?

I added the login control to the main page and nothing is visible until they login. The login option still shows up on the main screen and it is causing some confusion as to what they are suppoed to do.

We are trying to keep the same look and feel as the old site. The users had a username and login right on the front page. I still need the login control on the skin to show up after the login so they can press the logout button.

Hi:
You can try something like this:

<dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" Text=" " />

So you have a "Logout" link, but NOT a "Login" link.

All my best,
