Scott Schecter discovered this little nugget -[ http://blog.scottschecter.net/CategoryView,category,ASP.NET.aspx ]

I'd been banging head on the wall for two days to resolve some really flaky behaviour in a module I'd been developing.

The module has a [simple] dropdown list in it. I was finding that the SelectIndexChanged event wasn't firing. I'd got my Autopostback etc.. plugged in - all to no avail.

Scott discovered that this behaviour only occurred if the logged on user wasn't an administrator and further found that if he reduced the cache time in the module settings to zero - he solved the problem.

Many thanks, Scott - lifesaver.

Question: I can't ask my client to set this paramater every time they create a instance of the module - how do I do that in code?
