Hello,

I am still testing DNN before launching my official website. I have the following question:
I have installed DNN 4.3.7. Should I do an upgrade with the new 4.4.0 arriving, or is it better to start over from the very beginning (uninstalling DNN 4.3.7) and installing DNN 4.4.0 from scratch.

Either way should work without problems.

In other words, if you were me, what would you do ?
Waiting the new 4.4.0 and do an entire new install, or upgrading is similar (I thought that if I upgrade, it would leave some old folders and since the new DNN is lighter, it would have brought a bigger web). Am I wrong ?

an upgrade shall be fine, as DNN provides mechanisms to remove unnecassary files tehre shall be not much difference. Please notice, that DNN 4.4.0 contains a lot of new techniques for improved performance and I suggest to test the upgrade with a non-live copy of your web site first.

Ok thanks. But I do not find the enhancements or modifications done on the new 4.4.0 ??
I was in Gemini, but did not find the enhancements or new features to DNN 4.4.0 ?

1/
Did I miss something, do you have a direct URL ?

2/
Could you please tell me if I am correct (I have read the post sticked at the top, but it is not clear enough for me): apart from the web.config modif to be done, could you please confirm that I need to decompress the install.yip on my local hard disk, and then, FTPing the files on the web server, is this correct ?? I will overwrite files in the existing web server, correct ?? (Of course, I have done a database backup and whole space server backup).

I will upgrade once you have confirmed, to be sure that I have correctly understood.
