who is your host? I know that some hosts will not allow you to run a .net application in Full trust ( 1&1 for one )

I believe the machine.config takes precedence over the web.config, so if they configure the machine.config to run in Medium trust any changes you make to your web.config will be overwritten.

You might want to check with your host's tech support about running your site in Medium trust to see if that's an option.

I tried the Full trusted security level, but did not change the http://localhost/.*  that follows. I was able to view only the default page and other links/pages shows:

Page can not be displayed.....

my knowledge about ASP is limited, should I need to change the above path also??

thanks

The problem is, as was stated above, a Medium Trust issue and has been resolved in the Repository. I don't know what Steve had to do to fix it. You might try asking in the Extend It! section of the forums about Medium Trust.
