Wondering if anyone know how I can tackle this issue.

In a custom module I have the hyperlink code below in my .ascx file that grabs a full URL from a database to display a link.  Works great on my local machine.  On the server, however, the links are appended with my site's local path and then the link and therefore don't work.  Anyone know why this is?  Thanks for any help.

<a href='<%# databinder.Eval(Container, "DataItem.ReciprocalLink") %>' target=_blank rel='reciprocal'>
    <%# Databinder.Eval(Container, "DataItem.RecipTitle")%></a>

From your code, it looks like you will be getting a link formated exactly as it is in the DB.  You might want to look at how you are storing them if you want it to work in both places.

If it is a physical / absolute link to another site, make sure it starts with http://

Thanks John.  Yeah it's coming from the database and it's stored correctly except all the "HTTP://"s were stripped before it went into the database.  I'll make sure they all have the HTTP from now on and try that.  thanks again.

Edit: Works great!
