Hi, I have the dnn 4.3.7 connected with a SQL Server 2000 into a localmachine. The portal it’s working very well in localhost.

The problem is when I try to view the Portal with another computer in the same LAN.

Computer CP1 has the Portal
Computer CP2 has connection to CP1 .

CP1 can see the Portal of dnn
CP2 can see HTML’s of the CP1. IP/Virtual_Directory/Hello World.html
CP2 can’t see the portal of the CP1.  IP/ Virtual_Directory o r IP/ Virtual_Directory /Default.aspx

If CP2 try to access to the portal the Internet navigator (Internet Explorer) says an Error because it’s not possible to find the server or DNS and if I try more times the URL change automatically to localhost/Virtual_Directory

Any Idea?

Try adding a portal alias to the portal settings of the portal, COMPUTERNAME/virtual_dir instead just only having localhost/virtual_dir
