It's driving me nuts, just can't figure this out... we have Left/RightSeparator where I display left/right border images when the button is idle on the menu (background I set in RootMenuItemCssClass); Left/RightSeparatorActive where I display left/right border images when the button on the menu has already been clicked on (background I set in RootMenuItemActiveCssClass), and the page is being displayed; now when I hover over the idle button, I can specify the background in RootMenuItemSelectedCssClass, but my left/right borders stay the same as when button is idle, but I need them to change where they would be as in Active state... there are no Left/RightSeparatorSelected behavior available to specify my left/right images :(

Please help...

One possible solution is to use the

NodeLeftHTMLRoot and

NodeRightHTMLRoot

You can put HTML in there for your seperator images, and apply styles to those images so that they have different backgrounds based on the class wrappedaround them "RootMenuItemSelectedCssClass" or "RootMenuItemCssClass"

I'm actually working on a skin doing that very thing. I'm try to get it finished up, one more hurdle, then I hope to do a write up on tweaking the solpart menu.

Hope that helps a bit, I'll try to do a thorough writeup later in the week.

If by Active you mean its definition found in the skinning doc (Mouse over), then I am sorry to say that without some custom js coding you can not get the separator html to be changed during a mouse over/mouse out events.

I wasn't successful last night in getting my skin to work. I'm going to take a day or two off from the skin and see if I can get it to work later this week.
