Okay I need to get a list of users that have a certain profile property set - looking over the users.usercontroller i see this :

Public Shared Function GetUsersByProfileProperty(ByVal portalId As Integer, ByVal isHydrated As Boolean, ByVal propertyName As String, ByVal propertyValue As String, ByVal pageIndex As Integer, ByVal pageSize As Integer, ByRef totalRecords As Integer) As System.Collections.ArrayList
     Member of: DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserController

What I am wondering is why the page size and totalrecords are passed in to this function - cna I ignore those - I really want to get all the users with a property value

pageIndex and pageSize are used to retrieve only single page of records -usefulin ASP.Net UI. To get all data,specify pageIndex=0 and  pageSize =MaxInt.
totalrecords is a return value. In your case it should return the same as ArrayList.Length.
