Hi,

I have dnn v 3.2 that was upgraded from 3.1.0, that had an older version of the forums previously that worked really nice. I removed old forum module definition and added the new forum 3.10.14 module definition to the upgraded DNN 3.2, since I figured it would be best to have the latest version of both DNN and the Forum module.

I have a page and added the new forum module to it, created forum, and messed with the manage forum setting etc. , however when trying to make a post into the forum, I cannot. Here is the error:

A critical error has occurred.
INSERT statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint 'FK_Forum_ThreadsRead_Forum_Users'. The conflict occurred in database 'mahba', table 'Forum_Users', column 'UserID'. insert The statement has been terminated.

It looks as if something is wrong with the new forum module. What should I do to fix this?

Thanks for any response. I am a newbie dnn user and need some help.

This is a known problem and there were several threads on it in the "Using the Forums" forum which has disappeared at the moment. I have seen several workarounds suggested (look at this forum and the general DNN forum for some more discussion) but the official update isn't out yet. I read somewhere that it is expected to be fixed next week.

I can't seem to find any of the posted work arounds. Can someone send me a link? or

resuscitate the missing forums?

I can't seem to find any links for a workaround either. Will I just have to wait until next week? Someone please reply.

I am starting to worry, my whole site revolves around the forum module.
