First a little backgound. I have my domain pointing to a subfolder on a server hosted remotely. the site is up and running just fine. Now I want to upgrade to 4.4.0. So, I copied the one original subfolder to a new one. Set all the permissions uploaded the install zip. Then changed the release.config to mimic my original web.config.

My question is how do I trigger the install/upgrade without having to change the domain to point to the new subfolder. For example, my current path is d:\hosting\member\darrellesh\dlspartners. The new subfolder path is d:hosting\member\darrellesh\dlspartners_4.4.0. However, the only way I know to trigger the install/upgrade is to point the domain to the new subfolder and then run the following: http://dlspartners.com/install/install.aspx?mode=install. Therefore, the domain has to be pointing the the new subfolder to trigger the upgrade and by doing this it will disrupt the current site if users are trying to view it.
