I would like to know how to use the popup calendar to set the date in a textbox inside a formview thats bound to a data source.

I suggest to study the source of Datatypes/Date.vb inside the UDT module. Look at the new() and the Page_load() subs.

Your request is a bit vague because I'm not exactly sure what popup calendar your using.

If it is a javascript calendar thats where the work will need to be done. Using a textbox might not be possible, you may have to use an html inputbox instead.

If you follow the examples on some of the pages, you can use the calendar that already exists in DNN.

However the steps are:

1. Add a <asp:hyperlink> control (this will be the button that activates the javascript for the calendar). Give it an id = "hlADate"

2. In your codebehind, under the Load Event Add: hlADate.NavigateURL = CType(Common.Utilities.Calendar.InvokePopupCal(txtMyDate), String)

Where txtMyDate is the Id of the textbox control you want the date to appear.

I'm assuming this is what you are asking for.

you can use built-in function called "Common.Utilities.Calendar.InvokePopupCal(txtDate.text)"
