I have a client who wants people to be able to subscribe to automatic notifications about changes to pages on a DNN web site.  An example of what I'm talking about can be seen at http://www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/Subscribe/Subscribe.asp?auto=1498 .

Is there a way to do this in DNN ?  Are there any 3rd party modules that can do it ?

Thanks.

you could build a module that plugs into the dnn search function, however, categorizing it would be hard (search does not implement categories, you can filter out a page though)

Why don't you just offer an RSS feed for each of your topics?

BTW I found a free service the other day which monitors a web page and sends an email when the page changes:

I really need it to be more user friendly - RSS feeds aren't very intuitive for your average punter.

And why not adding a module to ask people to register for receiving newsletter or equivalent ??
