I have developed a way to allow users to log into DNN once and then have that authentication shared with 1.1 and 2.0 ASP.NET applications (no separate login required).  It involves customizing core DNN code and an additional piece of code for 2.0 sites.  Setting it up and configuring it is pretty easy and would only take 5 mins or so.

I would like to gauge if there is any demand for this as a commercial offering.  I was thinking of naming it "AuthNetNuke".  That name is not so similar as to be in possible violation of any copyright or trademark is it?

If anyone has any feedback or input I'd appreciate it.

Shawn -

I'm up for this as I have a number of external projects that I could hook into the DNN security/membership. If would be a big shame if it needed some changes to the core though. Is there a way of getting this to work without core changes?

Will it allow to share the users across multiple portals. I am also interested in this functionality along with the integration functionality.

Thanks,

Sailu
