running dnn 4.4.0 and I can't get the register page to show more than
User name is required
First name is required
Last name is required
Display Name is required
Email is required

I've gone into User Accounts and gone to manage user profile properties...and made some things required...but they still don't show up on the registration page.

also...is it possible to put a checkbox on the registration page to subscribe to the newsletter when they sign up?

Thanx in advance.

the new register is separated into two pages, you can use user settings, to define, when the second page needs to be filled in.

AFAIK there is currently no option, to ask the user, whether he wants to subscibe to the Newsletter or not, exept asking him to enter his profile and alter membership.

Try this...

Go to Admin / User Accounts / User Settings

check "Require a valid Profile for Registration:" checkbox and save the change.

This *should* force the User Profile pane to become visible and won't let users register until they complete the required fields on the profile.  If all your fields in the User Profile are optional this might not work.

I hope this helps,

Chuck R.
