It's not clear, but if you change either the compression settings, or the whitespace filter, you will most likely have to click on 'Recyle Application' in order for those changes to take effect.

there is nothing, you need to be concerned about, only performance will be decreased like in previous versions of DotNetNuke, but I suggest to wait for 4.4.1 before trying to switch it on again.

There were a few issue with the compression configuration in 4.4.0 which 4.4.1 "fixes".

I am experiencing the same problem ... jpeg's not appearing.  I have 4.4.1 installed, and have the Performance Settings :: Compression Setting set to "No Comparession".

Any other thoughts?

I guess I'll just post here -- the media module has always been broken. It gets hidden underneath content and does not display the image. I don't know what these suggestions have to do with anything. I just use the HTML/TEXT module instead. Any plans for a fix?
