If blog entries exceed a certain number of one day, there's no way to access earlier entries in the blog on that day, and a next page link would be helpful.

This should be available for : view all entries, individual categories or number of entries to be displayed for individual categories should be made available for user to specify.

That is the first time, that I hear this request.

You can setup in the module option how many entries should be displayed. This setting take care of the following different views:

  • All recent entries
  • The entries for a single blog
  • The entries for a child blog
  • A single date

If you have a blog with so much entries per day, you should setup this setting to a higher value. The default for this setting is 10.

In addition, if you use the search (blog specific or the dnn search) you will find any number of entries which relate to your search keys.

I have already tried to set the number of entries per page, apparently that only works for "All Recent Entries" but not under Blog categories or any of the subcategories.

What does you mean with "only works for .....

If you setup the setting to e.g. 20

All views "Most recent", Blogs, Child Blogs, take care of this setting and display the number of entries you have setup for this setting.

If that doesn't solve your problem the only work around is to modify the stored procs or the source, but if you modify the source or the sp you should document your modification so that you can reproduce the changes after the next update.
