Hello,  I am completely stuck with this error "BC30451: Name 'Config' is not declared."  I have read up on the issue and still cannot get this to work...  I am hosting my site with 1and1.com. I am a newbie to DNN.  These are the steps I've taken:

  • Downloaded install version of DNN
  • Setup SQL DB at host & edited web.config as necessary (connections, etc.)
  • FTP'd DNN to host to DNN4/Website/
  • Set permissions as necessary on Website folder
  • Setup application on Website folder
  • Messed around with renaming release.config to web.config & every possible variation of this (no luck)

Though I'm not a programmer, I'm not a complete idiot (I don't think anyways) - I cannot seem to get this to work no matter what I do...  I know my host supports DNN & .net 2 - I've heard so many great things about DNN & would really like to see what it can do - please help!

Thanks so much...

typically this means you did not rename release.config to web.config as the installation instructions state (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/BlogsDotNetNuke/tabid/825/EntryID/240/Default.aspx for more, or download the installation guide)
