Having trouble with DNN 4 installed on a killer webserver serving only the newly created DNN portal.  It seems to run slower than molasses and I have to click commands 2 times to get it to respond.  Sometimes it will even give a 104 connection reset by peer error and I have to reload the page.  I'm using SQL 2005 Express for the database and it's installed on the local machine.  Any ideas?

Thank you in advance,

Tom

A killer server running SQL 2k5 Express? Surely you jest?

What modules do you have installed? Are you trying to run in debug? That will slow it down.

Are you running IIS, or using VS2k5's built in web server?

Yes killer server, I ran SQL 2005 Express because our DB admin's wouldn't  make my database quick enough for me.  I'm new to DNN so I just setup a site straight from the install source.  I'll check the debug option that just might be it.

The debug was set to false.  The server is win2k3 running iis6.  The modules are the default install modules along with an events module that i installed.

Go to Admin/Log Viewer to see more clues on why it's slow.
