Is there an easy means to install all of the core moduels now with the latest 4.4?  Or do you have to download and install each individually now, ie are they not included?

most of the modules are contained prepared, i.e. if you login as host and go to host :: modules, you find the list at  the bottom, where you can easily select, which to install. The list of modules has been reduced, as installed modules always get compiled and loaded, even if they are not placed on any page, consuming startup time and memory. Other modules has been removed from the installation, because they have not yet passed the new release process for assuring module quality.

If there are modules that you want to install but aren't in the list that Sebastian mentioned you can bulk install them by putting them in the install/module directory on your DNN site. They'll then appear at the bottom of the module definitions page where you can checkmark the ones you want and install them all at once. This works for any module not just the core modules.

Mike,

this is nearly correct - any module packages (internally called PA = private Assemblies), that are put into folder /install/module get installed immediately, if you want to make it available for interactive installation, you need to rename it by appendig ".config".

No they won't. I just went through the process this past weekend transferring an old corrupted db to a fresh install of 4.4. I just put the PA's that I needed in the directory (NT Forums and a number of Scott McCulloch's modules). When I went to the Module Definitions page they were there waiting for me to pick and choose which ones to install. Maybe you've got it backward (.zip = interactive, .config = automatic)?
