Hi, I am new to DNN and I just installed a fresh copy of DNN 4.0.2

I followed the installation guide in the download.

Everything seemed fine until the final step where the build happens and the application gets started, where I got the error "Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortals'"

I followed the trouble shooting in the guide, and found it could be a problem with "objectqualifier."

I looked at the database I created for DNN 4.0.2  (I am running SQL Server 2000) and I found a bunch of stored procedure with names starting with "dt_" and so I changed the ObjectQualifier to "dt_"

It still couldn't work, then I realized that there's no such stored procedure with names similar to "GetPortals" in my database.

Can anyone give me a hint how I can solve the problem?

Thanks!

I have solved my own problem...

Silly me... a while ago I set the start page to Welcome.htm thinking I'd take a shortcut to view the remainder of the installation instructions...  and that's why the scripts are not run when I launched the application...

dt_ is for system tables

Is the GetPortals stored procedure in your database?

Turned out that its because I set the start page to another page so Default.aspx never got launched when I started the app...  little mitake that costs me hours...

Charles I'm getting that error as well on my 4.0.2 installation.  I'm using Sql Express. What should I look for?  I don't have hours in the issue yet but getting there.

Thanks Mike
