I could not find the log file 04.05.00. The last log file was 04.04.00 log. I assume when I it was errased when I went back to version 4.4.

Dumb question: How do you read the log file. I did not find any place in DNN so I used a file manager from my ISP (webhost4life), but when I tried to open the file it would not open.

They are actually just text files, you can open with notepad.

I reinstalled DNN 4.5.1 and here is the Log file for 4.5.0. We would really appreciate any help.

Thanks, John

It has been about a month since we first tried to upgrade from DNN 4.4.0 to 4.5.1 and after about a half a dozen attemps we have given up on being able to successful upgrade. During the upgrade process I get error messages on the DNN 4.5.0 script (see the above post), the DNN 4.5.1 script then runs without error. At this point the site is totally trashed and I use by backup and go back to DNN 4.4.0.

We have been using the older version with no problem, but we realize that eventually we are going to need to get to the current version of DNN. I am sure we will get more and more conflicts between DNN and third party modules. We are almost to the point of deleting the site, installing the latest version of DNN 4.5.1 and starting over!

One of the issues that we have in addition to the time is how to move the registered users from the old database to the new one.
We would appreciate any insight or suggestions.

Thanks,
John
