Hello,

I just had 4.4.1 setup.  I had to manually FTP all the DNN files to the server then my hosting provider setup the database.  Everything seemed fine, but when I went to add the Text/HTML module to my page it was not available in the Module drop down box in the control panel.

So, I figured I had to install it.  I went to Host->Module Definitions and under Available Modules the Text/HTML module is not listed.  How do I go about adding or installing it?

Thanks

  • current DNN version is 4.5.1, why do you install an outdated version?
  • have there been issues stated during install? Text/HTML gets installed automatically by default. if it is not available past the installation, you should restart.
  • especially make sure, that both connection strings in web.config are identically

We are using 4.4.1 because this same client has another DNN site that is using 4.4.1, so we wanted to be consistent.

I did not do the installation.  The ISP did.  Is there a log file created during the install that I could check for errors?  What should I restart, if it is not available?

Yes, both connection strings do match up.

Thanks

Now, I really need some help.  I downloaded the newest version the Text/HTML module and tried to install it.  After I did that, the pages are now throwing a nasty error.

You can see them here:

It looks like the code for the new module was installed into [root]/App_Code.  Does that seem right?

Thanks

make sure, that dotnetnuke.module.texthtml.dll at dotnetnuke.module.texthtml.sqldataprovider.dll are deleted from your bin folder.
