Hi, I'm a complete novice at this.

DotNetNuke was recommended to me - so thought I would give it a go.

The Issue I'm having is while going through the install wizard, I've gone through all the steps upto Run Database Install Scripts - I get installing database scripts and then a success message - but when I click next it just does the Database Install all over again.

I must have pressed the next button now a good 100 times! and still the page hasn't progressed.

I'm running this in Win2K SBS with MS SQL - all database connectivity went through fine.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I've actually sorted this out now myself!!!

How typical is that - as soon as I give in and post for help I figure out what the problem was!

For information - I re-ran the install wizard and checked the run as db owner - and hey presto it all whizzed through!

Hi,

I'm too getting same error, i tryed to your way, it gone one step ahead, but still has some problems :

Installing Database - Version 4.4.0...Upgrading Database to Version ERROR: See d:\dnn453\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\04.04.00.log for more information...FAILURE 400 - Conversion from string "ERROR: See d:dnn453" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

Does the file that it mentions exist?  If so can you post the contents.

Also, were you trying to do an upgrade?

Dear Mitchel,

It is solved by reinstalling it completely from scratch.

Thanks for answer,

Regards,
