I know that there have been some releases by third parties with other data providers.  I believe there was a MySQL one for 4.4.1, however it only works for the core and you cannot upgrade.

there is no "workaround" for this issue...

 

I am having the same problem too but I do have MSSQL, and I setup a database and edit it in the web.config file. I used FTP to upload the files, but I was not sure if I were to CHMOD any folder/files.

You can see the error I am getting here. I dont even know where to begin fixing it

okmissnadine,

Your issue is due to the "customErrors" tag being in your web.config file twice.  Remove the one entry and try again!
