I am trying to install a custom module. However, I am not sure if I am uploading the correct file to start the installation.  As you can guess I am new to this.  Do I use the file with the .dnn extension or the .xml extension.  Any ones help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming you didn't write the module your self right?  Anyway you should have a zip file that is the install file.  In the zip file is a file that has the module name and a .dnn extention.  Log on as host and go to module definitions page. The at the bottom of that page click ad module browse for the zip file with the file that has the .dnn extention and add that whole zip file.

There could be an xml file in the install zip, it just depends on the module you are installinng.

Cheers,

Paul Davis

Hey Miles,
I'd recommend taking a look at the free video on how to install PA's over at http://www.powerdnn.com/PublicPortal/StreamingHelp/tabid/69/Default.aspx. Just click the link that says "how to install Private Assemblies".

The PowerDNN folks are great - they really bend over backwards to make DNN easy for everybody.
