What it says is that this bug has been fixed and the plan is to release a new version (4.5.5) tomorrow.

If you don't want to wait, then here is a post by Charles Nurse:

The offending code has been fixed. It was a fix to an issue about NullDates in 4.5.2 that caused this, that appears to be unneccessary. There was a change in the base EditControl "EditControl.vb". For those wanting to fix their own source, the change is the following.

Change Line 349 from

Dim strOldValue As String = Convert.ToString(OldValue)

to

Dim strOldValue As String = TryCast(OldValue, String)

which was what it was before 4.5.2.

This has been the primary thread I've been watching in regards to whether I upgrade to 4.5.4 or not. I'll hang on for 4.5.5 :)
