Hi All

Finally got it working,    using the  starterkit,   I ran it on a freshly installed server  with nothing on it but SQL and Visual studio express had  no problems,

I am not sure of the reasons why  as i did exactley the same steps as on my other machine.

I guess over time changeing setting, programs, installing and un-installing  etc, the things you generally do on machines ,some things/setting just break and are very hard to track down.

This may not help alot of  people as installing on a fresh machine is not always practical,  however for me with a fresh machine the install  process is a piece of cake.

Also  this may not be the appropriate place to comment,   but  i find the idea of  moderated posts very frustrating,  It really breaks the spirit of community  when

you post and have to wait for a moderator to accept the post. It  also delays the process of sharing ideas and solving issues quickly due to the delays incured.

I cannot understand the reason for moderation before posts are accepted on a support forum.

Can moderation of posts occur after they are posted,  removing  banning any inapporpriate material, i am sure they are  minority as from what i have seen the dnn  community seems like a helpful, mature and supportive group.

Regards

Someone correct me if I'm worng but, Looking at this code it seems as if the try{} block will never throw any errors?!?

Why didn't someone correct me?
Apparently try{}  finally{} is fine and will throw the error upward... I was completely worng on this one.

So I'm not sure what was going on, but it was definately happening in that area of code somewhere..

Still, finally got it working so I'm not going to spend any more time looking into this.
