Hi,
After having rightly configured whatever needed to be, I'm still finding the following error at my DNN installation at http://naveen.yfsindia.org/dnn --

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

Invalid connection.

Earlier I had successfully installed and setup DNN at my localhost, but the problem occurred only online. I had made the DB and the connection line in web.config reads as --

    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=(http://mssql.myhost.com);Database=DotNetNuke_naveen;uid=username;pwd=password;" />

Anything else needs to be configured??

Where am i wrong?

Thanks
Naveen

Well.... I've removed the DNN 3.x installation from the abovementioned link.. I'm in the process of uploading 4.0.2. So will post again if any help required. However, if there is anything with respect to the above error which i better not repeat, then please bring it to my notice.

Thanks

As long as you follow the installation instructions, you should be fine with either version. I've seen this before, but it was because of a skipped step. It should be easily recoverable, but I don't remember which step it was. Make sure you follow the instructions when installing.

I doubt the server property value in the connection string will work. use the IP of the server instead.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?

Thanks all for all your replies. Now that i've put DNN 4.0.2 and also got ASP.NET 2.0 enabled by my webhost, I tried to install it and it get  error --

Server Application Unavailable

Administrator Note: An error message detailing the cause of this specific request failure can be found in the application event log of the web server. Please review this log entry to discover what caused this error to occur.

Is it because of some other configuration error or a problem with the webhost?

Thanks

Naveen
