Hi, I have the same issue but on a fresh install.
I can access gif files via http but when i i try to browse to the web site, i get an 404 error.
i'm a total beginner in the DNN world.

Thanx for your help

Hi I found this post on Chris Hammonds blog, http://weblogs.asp.net/christoc/archive/2007/07/29/dotnetnuke-underconstruction-htm.aspx

Try and see inside this table, maybe there is an error there, and be sure to check that the last entry is the same version as you are using.

I've got same error upgrading 5.0.0 to 5.0.1 .

Problem was caused by iFinity.FriednlyUrlProvider.
After uninstalling it (removing entries from web.config) upgrade was smooth, after upgrade I installed back iFinity.FriendlyUrlProvider.

However, I've got one error, all Text/Html modules stopped to work throwing exceptions.
Reinstalling Text/Html module helped.
