Hello Ian,

These instructions are great; the best I've seen. However, I'm still unclear on the part about copying the contents of the upgrade package straight over the root of the NotNetNuke folder. My DotNetNuke installation is not on a local server. I work with a web hosting company - 3Essentials. So I don't have a c:\inetpub\wwwroot\MyWebsite folder.

What I do have is a File Folder in my Plesk control panel with all of these files in it:

anon ftp, cgi-bin, error docs, httpdocs, httpsdocs, private, statistics, subdomains, vault scripts, web users, .Security

Do I copy the contents of the upgrade package into one of these folders? If so, how?

Please help. I've been searching for the answer for days.

Thank you. Negative Phil.

Hey all,

Please view the following installation thread from Mitchell Sellers. Even if you are upgrading, this is a very good read. Installing is a little more involved than upgrading, so I would suggest reading and understanding his Installation tutorial and then coming back to re-read the more simply and direct upgrade directions here or elsewhere on his site.

In this post he also makes explicit reference to using 3Essentials and Plesk control panel.

Hope that helps,

Ian

Hey mshair86, Negative Phil

First - You're welcome! Second, If you have any other insights about working with a specific host provider/control panel after going through this process I would highly recommend sharing them here or in the form of a comment on Mitchell's blog.

Take care,

Ian
