Rockn,

I suggest to start from scratch:

drop the database, recreate and regrant owner permission to the sql server user you are going to use.

clear the DNN installation folder and re-unzip all files. This folder needs to be root of an IIS web site or virtual directory.

Make sure, the ASP.net user ("network service" by default) has full file system permission for install folder and anything within.

in IIS web site, make sure, default.aspx has been added as default document. Make sure to use ASP.Net 2.0.

In IIS 7, make sure to disable authentication with "impersonation".

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Hi there!

Dont know really if it helps for your case, but I had the same problem ... infinite "undefined...success" at DB-Installation process

Because I remembered of a similar problem i had with a 4.x Version, i decided to wait a few minutes and after that i changed the url in the browser from

www.mydomain.at/Install/InstallWizard.aspx (where the infinite loop was still  going on)

to

www.mydomain.at/default.aspx

For me, this solution worked. dnn started the upgrade process and commented with:

Upgrading DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 05.01.02

Current Database Version: 05.00.00

No luck with any of this. Time to move on to Joomla or something else. What a pile this thing is.
