Hi all,

I am trying my best to install Dotnetnuke v4.9.2 on a remote server.  I have successfully installed version 5 on there recently but reading this site - 4.9.2 is the recommended version for production sites.  I upload the files to the server and run the install link - the link runs successfully and I get the link - Click here to access your portal appear - but as soon as I click on this link - im redirected to www.mydomain.com/Install/

I have tried installing several times but still get the same thing happen! Its driving me crazy!! I followed this article to install it - http://www.mitchelsellers.com/blogs/articletype/articleview/articleid/251/installing-dotnetnuke-490-on-a-remote-host.aspx

I followed the same tutorial but for version 5 and that worked a treat but I can not install 4.9 at all........

ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks

it sounds like a permission issue, make sure the virtual ASP.Net user ("Network Service" by default) is allowed to create folders and write to all files including web.config in the root.
