I haven't been upgrading my DNN since 4.3.5. I'm planning on upgrading it to 4.9.4. I understand that I should be following Will Strohl's suggested path. I seem to recall that the Upgrad Packages do not include module updates. Does that mean that I need to also download legacy module installation for each module and upgrade for each version that I'm upgrading to? I.e. Upgrade 4.3.5 to 4.3.7, upgrade modules, upgrade 4.3.7 to 4.4.1, upgrade modules, upgrade 4.4.1 to 4.6.2, upgrade modules... etc.? Don't mean to steal this thread, but I sure hate to start another upgrade thread. Thanks in advance for any help.

upgrading from 4.3.5 you should take steps 4.4.1 and 4.6.2, before finally upgrading to 4.9.4.

you do not need to install every module upgrade

simply install core and after 4.9.4 is installed go to host :: module definitions and install latest version of each available module at the bottom, you are using/want to use (it is not suggested to install modules you don't need).

Thanks for the quick reply. While I'm trying to upgrade from 4.4.1 to 4.6.2, I got the following errors. It seems like the security membership provider has changed. Can anyone help?

I have restarted several times. The first time was after changing the web.config to turn off custom errors so I can see what the error was. Any other suggestions?

Oh, I thought I should include some other helpful info:

Database: SQL server 2000 on a Windows 2000 Server

Web server: Windows 2000 Server with IIS 5

Eventually upgrading the sites to:

Database: SQL server 2005 on a Windows 2003 Server

Web server: Windows 2003 Server with IIS 6

Thx in Advance.
