OK, this is the answer we wanted to hear but raises the question, why not using the more stable downloadable version for this site as well? What about "eat your own dogfood" ?

Not only the search is ...hm....useless, from time to time clicking on a thread opens nothing but the header, every tenth to fifth time when creating or answering a thread and clicking on submit leads to "A critical error occured" and all your typing is gone, the sort order of your private posts is not correct, and so on.

Sorry, but a forum should not only be a worthy source for information but should also be easy to handle.

Oh, i did not want to blame anybody. I know that there is a lot of effort, work, stress....and on top of this: we (the audience) can download and use it for free. I really appreciate what all of you are doing, sometimes even as volunteer.

I'm with you since May 2007 (Version 4.3.something) and now i'm on 5.1.4 and never regret. But honestly, DNN is not a system you can easily use like a toaster or coffee machine. From time to time everybody faces his limitations and is searching for answers in the forum, where of course many useful information is located.... if you find it. And i remember not only one post in the past where this question regarding "unstable site forum" already came up.
