Thank you for your response Sebastian. We are actually on 5.2.2. Has this issue been fixed on 5.4.1?

 I upgraded to 5.5.1 and I have tried to export the default portal. I get no errors or template file., even though it specifies a path for the file.  Is there something else I need to do?

I have an installation with around  a 1000 pages with content, using dnn 6.1.1 - I am having the same issue as described above.  No custom modules in use (htmlpro and links).  Is there any other fix out there?
