Hello,

I have had issues trying to install DNN for the past week. I downloaded the latest version tonight and hoped it would fix the issues I was having. Unfortunately I still get errors while trying to install a fresh copy from scratch.

I created my root folder, extracted DNN zip to it, set my permissions. Edited the web.config file for my DB credentials. Then I created my SQL DB with proper Permissions and credentials. I then setup up IIS virtual Directory using ASPNET 2.0. Next, I start the install process and it passes the permissions test and the connection to the DB test and starts installing.

I get this error now:

Installing Database - Version 05.00.00...Success
Upgrading Database to Version 05.00.01...Success
Upgrading Database to Version 05.01.00...Success
Upgrading Database to Version 05.01.01...Success

Upgrading Database to Version 05.01.03...Success

=============================

What can I do to get this to install properly? I am getting very frusterated and it should only tke like 10 minutes to install this properly.

I have gone over the install instruction numerous times and even found some good blogs on how to install DNN. HELP please!

Mike

Mike,

there seem to be missing permissions granted to the worker process for the temp folder. This should usually be handled by asp.net, if you are using an internal account like network service.

System requirements have changed in DotNetNuke 5.2.0. DotNetNuke requires SQL Server 2005 or above and .NET 3.5 SP1. Please upgrade SQL Server and .NET before installing or upgrading to DotNetNuke 5.2.0.

Have you checked that your setup is the above?

Thanks Peter, an issue caused by SQL Server 2000 would look different, but missing .Net framework 3.5 SP1 could be causing an issue like this.
