Paul,
I can give you some validation on your problem as I am encountering the same behavior - certain links in IE8/Win 7 on a test site are resulting in HTTP 400 Bad Request errors. Typically, a browser refresh will display the intended page OK.

What I wonder is, do you see this behavior when browsing as an anonymous user? Only with the DNN control panel present?

I just started looking into this on a site that's in development. It's in Russian on DNN 5.2.3, and the link issues seem to be unique to IE8.

Hi all,

Thanks for the confirmation on this issue.

I don't really know how to go about resolving this.

I did try inserting some html below using Wil Strohl's  Free Injection Module

to force IE 7 compatibility ( but it didn't seem to work )

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=7" />

Maybe someone else could try it ?

Well, if this is happening on Production 5.2 sites then does this issue escalate to DNN Corp for a quick fix ?

( Is it a Microsoft IE8 issue or a DNN 5.x issue or both )

Hi Eric,

You are correct, it seems that the issue is NOT occuring with anonymous login on my TEST DNN 5.2 on my laptop.

Well I am glad that you posted this issue, because I have noticed this too, but wasn't sure it were a shared problem or just an issue created myself. 

I really notice it when debuging code in VS2008. Get to a point where I have to reboot.  I will pay more attention to specifics of the hangs. 

I do remember Chris Hammond tweeting about Window 7 hangs with IE8 several weeks ago, but got very little responds

Is there anyone who we can turn to for this problem. It is quite frustrating and bad for business. A lot of people use IE8 and can't open the site. ANy ideas?
