Thanks again!  Another quick question.  I haven't delved into it too much yet, but how do i work on the websites on another computer other than my web server?  on my webserver i just do http://localhost/dotnetnuke.....  How do i do it on my local pc?

That is handled through what are known as PortalAliases. you have to add the alias for the external URL such as http://IPADDRESS/dotnetnuke/ where IP Address is the address of the other server. That or replace it with servername instead of ipaddress.

Do I do this when I log into my DNN site or is this something I do in SQL Management Studio?

portal aliases are usually added from within DNN (Host menu, item Portals, Aliases can be found in Portal settings.)

Okay, I get that now.  When I do create a portal, I'm assuming I need to change something in IIS?  When I do create a portal and try opening the page, it always gives me a page not found error.
